East London based, Portuguese designer Louis de Gama opens his first shop this week. Louis gained a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster and spent his first few years after graduating working alongside Salvatore (bespoke tailoring), Tristan Webber and the renowned duo Boudicca.

Louis established his label Louis de Gama in 2000 with the launch of the first collection for London Fashion Week; the entire collection was subsequently bought by the acclaimed shop Brown Focus. The label is sold in selected boutiques in LA, NY, Tokyo, Dublin, Athens, Lisbon, and London and will now be available from Louis de Gama’s own store at 5 Cheshire Street, Brick Lane, which is a stone’s throw from his showroom.
