Like knowledge, style is something you build upon bit by bit. Style is not a fact; it’s an opinion, and not just anyone’s opinion, but your own. You know who you are. You know what makes your head spin. You know what is cool, and you know what is not. You know your own style. This is your knowledge. However, the value of knowledge is both having it and using it. This is why we urge you to revolt and unleash your inner style. Just like true knowledge, personal style never goes out of fashion.
We are a street denim brand with a bold graphic attitude. We grab bits and pieces from the past and translate it into a present fashion passion. We are driven by you and the quest of making an easy going fashion for whatever the occasion.

Chama is a different kind of company; we see the world through “strategic information fast lane” kind of glasses. The kind that put you in front and in touch with your customers the way they want to interact and connect today. Consumers today live in a super connected world where they are interacting, doing business and evolving their exchanges daily. The methods used to get their attention 10 years ago, don’t apply to today. Technology has changed our world and is rapidly picking up speed, so how can your business keep up and not loose market share to savvier competitors? Bad news: it can’t, unless you evolve and adopt strategies to meet the changing marketplace. Good news: This is where we come in….

We started Brooklyn Fare with three simple things in mind:

Works as a general graphic and book designer. He has a small studio with never more than one assistant, working closely with clients – writers, editors, artists, curators and architects.
There is no particular style: each job acquires its own. For this reason no distinction is made between recent work and that which dates back several decades. His design aim is to engage the reader or viewer, and his experience as a printer allows him to exploit technical means in the interests of economy. The site shows a selection of work, list of clients, and bibliography.

Echoes of the big bang are still heard from signals bouncing off lonely galaxies into man-made space listening devices, metal dishes and concrete ears perked up to receive the cooled radiation that has permeated the universe for nearly 15 billion years. We’ve only been emitting our own for a century or so.

Hypebeast was launched in January of 2005 as a one-stop news source for internet-savvy street fashion enthusiasts. Frustrated with having to browse multiple sites to keep up with the latest information, the creation of Hypebeast allowed for the latest news to be broadcast through one specific medium.
Over the past three years, the site has grown from small sneaker-based blog to a large well-respected information source within the industry, with a strong emphasis on street fashion.

I’m fella from a small town in southwestern ohio.
Growing up, we raised cattle, sheep, ate fresh eggs from the chickens, had ducks and peacocks too (nutty eh?).
We were plopped in the middle of huge fields alternatin’ between tobacco and corn (that we didn’t tend to). No neighbors really, so I found lots of ways to entertain myself when not pestering my good-hearted family.

350 is the most important number in the world. It’s what scientist say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Right now the concentration of CO2 is 390 particles per million. This is way too high and is why the ice is melting, drought is spreading, forest are dying, etc. We need to stop putting CO2 in the air.

As much as I liked the old site, (it was more like a landing page than didn’t go anywhere) it’s time to move on. I ditched the old design, and went for a much simpler layout that I could update easily. The new site only features recent projects, but I’ve added another ‘big ass page’ for archived projects (link located at the bottom).
I’m wondering whether I should bring across the annoying fly from the old site though?

We started in 1996, selling a unique collection of vintage Levi’s. We think it’s fair to say we now live in a digital world. The Internet changed the relationship between people and information, and revolutionised the relationship between people and brands. Old approaches to marketing just don’t cut the mustard with consumers anymore.
We think the biggest issue for brands these days is believability. It’s not good enough to demonstrate your proposition in advertising, you have to prove your value every day in demonstrable ways.
That’s why LBi exists. We’re a marketing and technology agency with the ability to manage brands digitally throughout the entire customer journey. We call it Building Believable Brands.

Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects began its creative existence with architect Jim Olson, whose work in the late 1960s explored the relationship between dwellings and the landscape they inhabit in the Northwest. Olson started the firm based on some simple ideas: that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture and people, and that inspiring surroundings have a positive effect on people’s lives. Rick Sundberg joined the firm in 1975, and its commitment to urbanism and civic life became evident as they began designing and developing modern urban buildings in and around Seattle’s national historic districts Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square.
In 1996, Tom Kundig joined Olson and Sundberg as an owner, taking the firm to another level of creative exploration and helping it grow into an office with an international reputation.

Faber and Faber began as a firm in 1929, but its roots go back further – to The Scientific Press, founded in the early years of the twentieth century, which was owned by Sir Maurice and Lady Gwyer and which derived much of its income from the weekly magazine The Nursing Mirror. The Gwyers’ desire to expand into trade publishing led them to Geoffrey Faber, a fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and ‘Faber and Gwyer’ was founded in 1925. Four years later, The Nursing Mirror was sold and Geoffrey Faber and the Gwyers agreed to go their separate ways. Searching for a name with a ring of respectability, Geoffrey hit upon the name ‘Faber and Faber’, although there was only ever one of him.

This post is about 5 useful CSS properties that you should be very familiar with, but will most likely rarely use. I’m not talking about the new fancy CSS3 properties. I’m referring to the old CSS2 properties such as: clip, min-height, white-space, cursor, and display that are widely supported by all browsers. So, don’t miss this post because you might be surprised how useful they are.

What Is Art and Why Does It Matter? is an online magazine that creates a forum for interpretive experimentation and gives a face to the people who make museums a vibrant presence in the world. This magazine is here because we all “know” that art is important, but do we always know why? Looking at art can provide a much needed refuge for reflection, sympathy, quietude, inspiration, and even ecstasy in this increasingly chaotic world.

We create desired experiences that tell a compelling truth or story about the brand.
To do this, you need to properly understand brands and people, what really makes them tick, and the cultural context and impact of what you’re doing. You need a great idea that anchors everything together and the ability to measure what affect it’s all having.
We are a small tight-knit team dedicated to developing both useful and engaging media. Through working with us you will nearly get to know every single one of us as we rely on all our team members for their unique capabilities and insights.

Our name WeShouldDoItAll (WSDIA) is simply a goal. Designers and all other professionals alike should not feel constrained to some singular expertise. To survive our own creative game, it is imperative to know that there is not one absolute solution to a given problem. To immerse oneself within different avenues of creative production and mediums forces you to consider the otherwise unconsidered. It’s that method of working that’s exciting and motivating to look forward to the next transition.

LET’S GET LOST, also the name of a long out-of-print Baker tune, aptly describes the driving force of this man and his music. His James Dean looks and cool sound set Baker apart from the other musicians of his time but his ongoing issues with a narcotic addiction also gave a generation of jazz fans a Doomed Youth of their very own. Chet Baker’s life plays out like a Kerouac creation, as did his death (he fell out of an Amsterdam hotel window on Friday the 13th 1988, age 58), but out of his life came some of the most lyrical trumpet playing and jazz vocals ever heard.

The Stendig calendar was designed by Massimo Vignelli back in 1966. The huge, 3 by 4 feet type-only calendar instantly made it into the collection of The Museum of Modern Art, New York (although there originally also was a smaller version).
The Stendig is the result of Vignelli’s experiments with the positive and negative spaces of the letters and numbers of the (then upcoming) font Helvetica.

Led by choreographer Samuel Murez, this group lets them create shows in which they unleash the full wide range of their tastes, abilities and personalities : from excerpts of “Swan Lake” to acclaimed original works like the whimsical Epiphénomènes , as well as pieces by masters such as William Forsythe and Roland Petit, the group’s distinctive blend of excellence and fun, virtuosity and self derision has become 3rd Floor’s trademark, and caught on with spectators and critics alike.

Reserves was established in 2006 by Mike Jarboe and launched in early 2008. After having spent over a decade knee deep in the progressive urban climate as a visual designer and artist for numerous influential brands, the time came to bring the disparate design influences, elements and past experiences into one premium design brand.
Prior to launching Reserves, we’ve designed and directed for companies such as DC Shoes, Nike, Virgin, Vans, Emerica, Globe, Quiksilver, Nixon, Staple, 686, Foursquare, Atwater, Ride Snowboards, Burton, Transworld Skateboarding, Transworld Snowboarding, and others. Beyond commercial projects we have been involved in non-commercial design initiatives over the years with galleries, print publications, and online media. Adding to this experience is a history of designing purely for the sake of creatively exploring what’s possible, outside of conceptual or commercial restraints.

Everyone has a history — an account of the things they’ve done during the time they’ve been around. We think of ours as a bunch of cool stories that have led us to where we are and will show us where we’ll go. We’ve also been around long enough to learn it’s not about how old you are, but how good you are — and that everyone loves a good story. Here are a few about us:

Great theatre has the capacity to touch our lives in extraordinary ways and for over forty years the Lyric has been an indispensable part of Northern Ireland’s cultural life – empowering, inspiring, engaging and entertaining. During my early career this theatre was like a beacon of light and hope six nights a week, doing everything from Shakespeare to Yeats to O’Casey with a group of actors and actresses that affected me very deeply and still do.
